Job Summary

The primary function of this position is to prospect and cultivate new contracts, and service and inspections for fire protection services to national and regional companies. The Company's goal is to continuously grow the customer base, satisfy customer'srequirements and stay compliant with the NFPA guidelines.

This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment with a focus on sales, prospecting for new clients and customer service. It will require travel to customer sites and trade shows.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Establish contracts and qualify potential buyers of service and/or inspection by scheduling sales calls and determining customer needs, both with new prospects and existing customers.

Gain customer understanding of company service offerings.

Attend trade shows and industry functions to maximize market penetration.

Join related fire protection associations

Supervise and assess all Inspection Sales Representatives.

Maintain, correct, and complete records of all sales related activities.

Submit all required sales reports and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner.

Heavy travel to customers and branch offices.

Confer with customers and company officials to resolve customer complaints.

Identify new potential clients and pursue them for opportunities.

Identify missed opportunities with existing clients and capitalize on them.

Gain market knowledge of trends.

Thoroughly understand the customer's needs and wants.

Understand our competition and how to leverage that into sales.

Build long term relationships with clients, to help SAC form connections and get on track on future work.

Serve as the primary contact for clients; be the liaison between the President and clients.

Identify and adjust to new market trends.

Ability to negotiate with clients in a positive matter that helps both the Company and clients achieve end goals, both strategically and financially.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma or GED is required.

Supervisory experience required.

10+ years' experience in Fire Protection Contracts or Sales.

Associate's degree with 5+ years' experience in Fire Protection Contracts or Sales is required.

Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred.

Previous Fire Protection Design experience is a plus.

Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Sales Force applications is required.

Excellent customer service skills are required.

Ability to search and "hunt" for opportunities is required.

Demonstration of a positive attitude is required.

Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.

Building positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management is required.

Demonstrating integrity and professionalism is required.

Demonstrating commitment to company values is required.

Excellent organizational skills are required.

Ability to follow-up on tasks and assignments in a timely manner is required.
