R&D Summer Formulation Systems Internship- Brecksville, OH

This position is a comprehensive 12-week learning experience in Global Supply Chain R&D Formulation Systems. In this role, you'll be assigned to a laboratory and paired with a dedicated mentor who will help you build foundational knowledge in robotics, automation, and paint system dynamics, specifically for R&D applications, while also helping you acclimate a professional work environment. You'll take on a Technical Project where you'll actively contribute to a project team and present your findings at the end of the internship. Alongside your technical work, you'll participate in a variety of networking and learning events designed to support your professional development and help you build connections with other Interns and Co-ops across the organization. This position is a comprehensive 12-week learning experience in Performance Coatings Group R&D Division. Students will be assigned to a specific lab and will be given a mentor. Interns will also be given a Technical Project in which they will present at the end of their assignment. Students will be active participants on a project team and will have periodic reviews to evaluate their performance. Students will participate in a number of special networking and learning events throughout their assignment. This opportunity will allow students to gain experience in work groups, as well as working with other Interns and Co-ops. All hires must go through a background check before the start of employment. This position will start in May 2026 at Brecksville Morikis Global Technology Center in Brecksville, OH supporting the R&D Global Supply Chain. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Minimum Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics ("STEM") at the time of the internship program

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future

Must be willing to work up to 40 hours per week for a total of 12 week, with or without reasonable accommodation

Must have a minimum of 2.8 GPA

Preferred Qualifications

Have previous experience in a Sherwin-Williams research and development (R&D) Internship or Co-op Program

Be a rising or current sophomore, Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the internship program

Mechanical and Chemical Engineering majors preferred
