Quality Inspector

Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland

Job Type: Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Quality Inspector to perform virtual inspections of manufactured products. This role involves reviewing documentation and photographic evidence submitted by partners to ensure compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain-to support inspection processes and drive continuous improvement in quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct virtual inspections by reviewing documents and images via the Partner Portal and ERP systems.

Follow established procedures to verify compliance with customer and internal quality standards.

Collaborate with Case Management, Partner Support, and Material Review Board (MRB) teams to manage rework and resolve quality issues.

Ensure timely completion of inspections and maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Support contract manufacturers in meeting quality expectations and resolving discrepancies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience in inspection, documentation, and quality assurance processes.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and assembly drawings.

Familiarity with mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers and hand tools.

Strong understanding of visual inspection techniques and quality control methodologies.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Experience

Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and dimensional inspection reporting.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Work Schedule & Environment

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Environment: Exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies, including 3D printing.

Dress Code: Casual attire (jeans, shorts, plain shirts, closed-toe shoes); safety gear provided.

Compliance: Facility is ITAR-compliant; U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.

This is a Contract position based out of Gaithersburg, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
