The Opportunity

The Network Engineer designs, builds, deploys, installs, troubleshoots and provides support for network systems and related cloud services. Responsible for local and wide area network configuration, management of customer infrastructures, systems planning, capacity planning, testing and validation. Provides technical and engineering support, and deploys and configures networking hardware and software. Tests and assesses network systems, solves problems, mitigates risks, and develops solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Manages and configures network hardware and software, operating systems and attached devices

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation

Designs, installs, maintains and supports LAN, WAN, video and VoIP infrastructures

Troubleshoots technical issues, and develops and implements solutions

Designs, configures and manages network security features for custom networks

Performs preventive and fault isolation maintenance on existing networks

Creates and maintains as-built and other systems drawings (flowcharts, diagrams)

Supports operational and maintenance phase for as-built systems

Supports data center operations

Participates in special projects as required

Requirements

Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Active Security Clearance preferred; must be able to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance which requires US Citizenship

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, certifications and work experience.

Required Experience

7+ years of relevant experience in network/systems analysis, design, installation, and maintenance

7+ years of experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies

Preferred Qualifications

Strong problem solving, analytic, and communication skills

Self-starter with ability to work effectively in small team environment with minimal supervision

Capable of lifting and moving information technology equipment up to 50 pounds
