Substitute Support Staff

Shenendehowa Central School District is now accepting applications for Substitute Support Staff. Shenendehowa Central School District covers approximately 86 square miles serving families from the communities of Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Ballston Lake, Round Lake, Malta, and parts of Waterford, Rexford, Mechanicville, and Stillwater. Approximately 9,850 students attend eight elementary schools (gr. K-5), three middle schools (gr. 6-8), and a high school (gr. 9-12). Shenendehowa is one of the largest central schools in the area.

Compensation (Hourly)

Clerical - $16.80

Elementary Classroom/Library Aide - $15.77

Evening Substitute Cleaner - $17.66

Food Service - $15.50

Groundskeeper - $19.65

Maintenance - $19.74

Nurse - $29.55

School Monitor - $15.50

Security Guard - $17.66

Special Education Teacher Aide - $20.72

Certifications/Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Must have fingerprint clearance through NYS Education Department (NYSED) (https://www.nysed.gov/educator-integrity/fingerprinting)

Expectations

Substitutes for support staff positions will assume all duties and responsibilities in the absence of the regular support staff, which varies dependent upon position.

Execute a job as informed by the department manager/building principal and work collaboratively with colleagues.

Respond effectively and professionally to staff and students.

Use real-world @context and integrate technology when appropriate.

Continually assess and analyze the environment, making adjustments that have a positive impact on the student's environment and overall learning experience.

Maintain a positive learning environment for all students.

Performs all other duties assigned by the department manager/building principal.
