Finance Director Pay Range Job Category pay range: $30.00 - $45.00; salaried / exempt position

Location Olean, NY

Work Hours Generally, 7:30am-4:00pm Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours required. Job Summary Overall responsibility for the agencys Financial Management System. Including, but not limited to, any and all reporting and books of account in compliance with all rules, regulations and performance standards. This position monitors entire agency budget and assists with preparation of grant applications. This is an Executive Management Level position. Knowledge and experience in Non-profit accounting is preferred. Develop, monitor, evaluate, and report on financial condition of agency (esp. Bank balances/cash-flow) on financial controls and procedures including compensation programs. Liaison to Board of Directors and Policy Council (Committee Report). Monthly Financial Statements (Detail & Summary) for all programs & departments. Journal Entries (Allocate). DPM Drawdown & bank transfer. Reconcile DPM & A/R. Develop & maintain accurate charts of accounts, including the allocation of program income & outlays. Oversee In-Kind contributions (Child Plus), ADP Payroll (Review Timesheets & Reports), process Payables (PO/Invoices) and Receivables (Fund EZ). Initiate and direct, with Management, cost studies and comparative analyses of alternative operating strategies. Prepare Budgets (esp. HS/EHS Basic) and Grant application documents (HSES). File required Quarterly & Annual Federal Financial Reports due to DPM and Regional HHS. Submit annual PIR Financial salary data. Facilitate annual independent CPA Audit, predicated on Year-End ledgers & banking. Resolve any exception, implement recommendation, report to staff/governing bodies. Monitor agency website (Word Press). Evaluate IT hardware/license purchase needs. Review Health & Liability Insurance coverage, Inventory (Fixed Asset/Depreciation), and the fiscal aspects of special initiatives (f.e. Bus purchases, Incentives and COLA). Reconcile CACFP (Budget) meal reimburse to NYS EFT payment, major equipment. Monitor UPK School District contracts/receipts due. Facilities & Equipment Leases. Reconcile all bank accounts on monthly basis (Payroll, Operating & Money Markets). Reconcile Accrual accounts (Prepaid/Deferred/Unmatched) for month-end Financials.

Requirements: Masters Degree in Accounting or CPA and 1 year of relevant work experience or Bachelors Degree in Accounting and 2 years of relevant experience
