Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Lead Development Engineer. This position is ONSITE Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Fayetteville NC Eaton location. Relocation assistance will be provided, if needed.

The primary function of the Lead Dev. Engineer is the support ideation, refinement, optimization validation, and industrialization of solutions for MCC (via UL845) and PFC (via UL508A) assemblies. This includes application consulting, scope definition, engineering design, and test plan generation and manufacturing process's release system.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year.

What you'll do:

In this role:

Perform a wide variety of engineering and sales tasks including but not limited to:

Provide technical guidance to internal & external customers including interpretation of manufacturing assembly processes, specifications, product selection, and application support. Review technical and marketing requirements and prepare proposals relating to UL845 & UL508A limitations Ideation and design concepts to meet the MCC and PFC needs. Design includes preparation of 3D Models using Autodesk Inventor for models/layouts, bills of material and electrical schematics. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness. In addition to the duties and responsibilities described above the Lead Product Engineer shall also support a wide variety of product line sales, marketing, and technical initiatives including but not limited to:

Collect voice of customers and participate in product road mapping to maintain and extend product focus.

Support development of technical literature and training for Internal customers and sales teams via Marketing strategies.

Support cost-out, design for manufacturing, and safety initiatives for assigned products.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field of study from an accredited institution.

3+years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Must have fluency in 3D CAD package (Autodesk Inventor/Pro-E)with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and one lines

Must have experience and exposure with the National Electric Code (NEC) and UL design standards such as UL845 / UL508A.

Must be able to relocate to Fayetteville NC. Relocation assistance will be provided, if needed,

Ability to travel up to 15%, domestically.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.

Product Development and/or Product Line Support experience.

Prior experience in manufacturing operations.

Prior experience designing UL845/UL508/508A and UL50 packaged control systems.

Familiarity with DFSS or DMAIC principles.

Prior product management experience.

Prior experience interacting with teams in a technical or commercial function.

Skills:

Ensure compliance where applicable with systems, regulatory, and product standards including, but not limited to ISO, Underwriters Laboratory (UL), CSA, NEC, OSHA etc. Support Eaton Business System (EBS), tools and systems as required including, but not limited to Management of Environmental Safety and Health (MESH), Eaton Quality System (EQS), Eaton Lean System (ELS), Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) etc....
