Overview
GitHub is seeking a Senior Integrated Marketing Manager, Digital Events to design, execute, and scale world-class webinars and virtual experiences that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline across GitHub's global revenue plays.
As a senior individual contributor within the Digital Revenue Marketing organization, you'll own the digital event engine-building repeatable frameworks and best practices for how GitHub delivers webinars, product demos, and live digital experiences at scale. This role requires someone who: understands and translates business requirements, goals, and objectives into emotionally connecting experiences for specific audience groups. Holds responsibility for the end-to-end execution of GitHub and/or third-party events and experiences, in alignment with the overall marketing strategy. Plans, leads, and executes a broad range of live and online experiences to inspire, drive business outcomes and marketing priorities, and drive alignment and integration across teams. Defines and implements creative briefs to inform the visual look, style, and end-to-end experience of events. Targets specific audiences to make quality individual impressions of the company brand, products, and initiatives. Takes a data-driven approach to measure the landing and impact of events and experiences and to create a competitive advantage.
You'll partner closely with the Integrated Campaign Managers, Content, Product, ABM, Product Marketing, Developer Relations (DevRel), and Sales teams, as well as external groups, to ensure each event is seamlessly integrated into our demand generation and account-based marketing motions.
This role blends strategy, execution, and collaboration to create consistent, measurable, and impactful digital experiences that inspire developers, IT decision makers, and business leaders.
Responsibilities
Measurement:
Focuses on defining success metrics, tracking performance, and reporting insights.
Optimize for Performance: Define and track key metrics such as registrations, attendance, engagement, influenced pipeline, and conversion. Use data to inform strategy and continuously optimize performance.
Report and Present Insights: Regularly analyze event performance and share learnings, insights, and business impact during Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and other leadership meetings.
Project Management:
Covers the operational structure, repeatability, and coordination of work across teams.
Design and Scale a Digital Event Framework: Build and operationalize a scalable process for webinars and digital events that can be executed across multiple campaigns, regions, and product lines-leveraging internal resources, agencies/external groups, and event platforms such as Goldcast.
Enable Repeatability and Global Scale: Develop standardized playbooks, templates, and processes to ensure operational consistency and quality across all digital events globally.
Lead End-to-End Event Execution: Drive program development from planning and content creation through promotion, production, and post-event follow-up. Execute directly or in partnership with agencies and cross-functional marketing teams.
Implementation / Strategy Execution:
Focuses on cross-functional alignment, integrated execution, and innovation.
Integrate Across Marketing Channels: Collaborate with Paid Media, Lifecycle, Web, Content, and ABM teams to ensure each event is fully embedded within GitHub's integrated marketing engine and connected to measurable pipeline goals.
Partner Across Sales, Product, and DevRel: Work closely with Sales, Product, and Developer Relations to align on topics, speakers, and technical depth-ensuring every event delivers both educational and business outcomes.
Drive Experimentation and Innovation: Pilot new formats, technologies, and engagement tactics (e.g., live coding, Q&A, interactive demos, community integrations) to continuously improve the attendee experience **.
Qualifications**
Required Qualifications:
7+ years experience in business-to-business (B2B) integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or a related field
OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business-to-business (B2B) integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or a related field
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years experience leading end-to-end digital event programs, including strategy, planning, and hands-on execution of webinars or virtual events at enterprise scale.
3+ years experience developing scalable operational systems for digital events, including the creation of repeatable frameworks, documentation, and playbooks that enable consistency across teams, regions, or campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years experience with marketing strategy.
7+ years experience working in the software development industry or technical B2B marketing, ideally at a SaaS company.
Understanding and prior experience using marketing automation and CRM systems (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce).
Expertise with event and engagement platforms such as Goldcast, On24, or Teams.
Compensation Range
The base salary range for this job is USD $96,400.00 - USD $255,700.00 /Yr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
