Compensation & Schedule:

Starting Pay: $24--$30 per hour, based on experience.

Work Schedule:4 days a week, with Fridays off!

About the Role

This position involves applying accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare accurate workpapers for our accounting engagements. This role is critical in maintaining our regular accounting clients, especially during tax season, allowing our EAs and CPA to focus on the tax portion of the practice.

You'll start with less complex assignments and gain greater responsibility to work autonomously as you grow.

Key Responsibilities:

{height="16" width="16"}Accounting Work: Apply accounting principles to maintain and manage the books for a dedicated portfolio of clients.

{height="16" width="16"}Technical Excellence: Develop a good working knowledge of fundamental accounting procedures and how to apply them.

{height="16" width="16"}Documentation: Prepare clear, concise workpapers with definitive conclusions, and use technology like spreadsheets and accounting software effectively.

{height="16" width="16"}Tax Support: Assist with less complex assignments and learn to prepare workpapers needed for tax return engagements.

{height="16" width="16"}Professional Development: Be inquisitive, seek out opportunities for professional growth, and gain approval to focus on areas for future specialization.

{height="16" width="16"}Someone who understands that the workload can be intense at times (especially February 1 through April 15) but is willing to be patient and a team player.

{height="16" width="16"}An individual with a strong work ethic who demonstrates superior professionalism, ethical behavior, and enthusiasm.

{height="16" width="16"} A candidate with the ability to work independently, anticipate problems, and show self-management to meet deadlines.

{height="16" width="16"} A person who exhibits effective communication and listening skills.

Ideal Candidate:

{height="16" width="16"}Someone with experience in accounting

{height="16" width="16"} Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

{height="16" width="16"}CPA license
