Facility Mechanical/HVAC Engineer

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a skilled Facility Mechanical/HVAC Engineer to provide engineering expertise and project leadership for facility mechanical systems (HVAC, CDA, PCW, PA, etc.). This is a remote W2 contract with travel up to 75%.

Pay Rate: $56.32 - $88.69/hour

Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering (MS desired)

What You'll Do:

Lead projects from initiation to closeout, including design, installation, and start-up of mechanical systems

Develop project scopes, estimates, schedules, and documentation

Apply HVAC and mechanical engineering principles to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including plant, R&D, and external contractors

Guide and mentor internal staff and contractors

Forecast and manage project budgets

Required Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)

PE or FE preferred

10+ years of engineering experience

Strong HVAC and mechanical system troubleshooting and project leadership skills

Proficient problem-solving using structured methods (K-T, DESGN, DMAIC)

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Project estimating, forecasting, and scheduling experience

Desired Skills:

Proficiency in MS Project, SharePoint, AutoCAD, SolidWorks

PMI certification

Soft Skills:

Results-oriented, high-quality focus

Positive, flexible, and adaptable team player

Strong communication and listening skills

Additional Information:
