Job Title: BSA OFAC Officer
Job Description
The BSA OFAC Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT ACT, and all applicable anti-money laundering statutes and OFAC requirements. This role involves maintaining oversight of the BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Program, supporting internal controls, and managing risk-based customer due diligence procedures.
Responsibilities
Maintain the highest degree of integrity and ethics, adhering to all bank policies and procedures.
Manage and lead all aspects of a BSA Team of 30+, including managers, team leads, investigators, and analysts.
Build and manage relationships with key management stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust.
Communicate expectations effectively to key management stakeholders.
Understand key BSA/AML/OFAC workflows and assess staffing models, processes, and technologies to enhance program compliance and efficiency.
Direct necessary BSA/AML/OFAC/Fraud risk assessments annually or as needed.
Ensure adequate BSA/AML/OFAC training is provided to all appropriate associates.
Participate in committees and taskforces, such as the Compliance Committee and Cannabis Taskforce.
Oversee the development and update of documentation related to BSA, AML, OFAC, and US Patriot Act policies.
Stay informed of proposed rules, new laws, regulations, and industry trends to enhance the BSA/AML Program.
Prepare informative board reports summarizing program maturity and matters arising from the program.
Sponsor and manage program enhancements, including process re-engineering and technological improvements.
Assist in preparing the Risk Management Division's annual budget.
Achieve long-term corporate objectives established by management.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree; an advanced degree is desirable.
Experience with a $20B+ financial institution as a BSA Officer or Deputy BSA Officer for the last 5+ years.
Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
Minimum of 10 years of specific BSA/AML investigative experience with SAR filing experience.
Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification is required.
Comprehensive understanding of banking and fraud patterns.
Thorough knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering laws, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC regulations.
Strong leadership and management skills.
High degree of analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
History of favorable interactions with regulators and auditors.
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills, including board presentation skills.
Attention to detail and deployment of sound critical professional judgment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Experience with the development, testing, and implementation of BSA/AML/OFAC systems.
Familiarity with Verafin, FCM, IBS, and FIS systems is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CPA, CFE, or similar certifications are preferred.
Work Environment
This role requires onsite reporting in either Wilmington, DE or Philadelphia, PA. The BSA OFAC Officer will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and manage a team of approximately 30 individuals, including team leads and investigators. The position operates in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $165000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
