The Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel (https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/chiphhh-palmer-house/)is looking for a Stewarding Supervisor to join the team! An icon of downtown Chicago for over 150 years, the 1,641 room hotel sits at the heart of the Theater District. There's a rustic restaurant and a Chicago-inspired burger bar, along with an elegant lobby bar. Other amenities include a spa, an indoor pool and a sauna, plus a fitness center and 7 ornate ballrooms. A Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of 30-35 people to transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware.

The ideal candidate has a stewarding, culinary, or housekeeping background in a hotel setting. Seeking someone with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Lead or supervisory experience highly preferred.

Shift Pattern: Open availability to work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays

Pay Rate: $21.23 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location

What will I be doing?

As a Steward Supervisor, you would be responsible for supervising utility stewards, dishwashers and temporary personnel to transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Supervise, support and monitor utility stewards, dishwashers and temporary personnel to transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware for restaurant service

Supervise cleaning of work area and physical surroundings

Maintain and deliver proper inventory for food and beverage departments

Ensure all food and equipment are delivered on time to all functions as specified

Schedule, assign daily work, inform and train team members

Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance
