As an Operations Support Specialist, you will execute and provide advice and technical assistance to district and field managers and staff on a wide variety of administrative, financial, and human resources services essential in supporting the operational activities, goals, and mission of USCIS. Responsibilities Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, within District 13 and are assigned based on the need of the agency. Oversees the allocation of funds in automated financial management system for expenses such as purchase card, travel, purchase orders and distribution of overtime allocations. Monitors operational activities and requirements within allocated budget levels, including general expenses, overtime, awards and other than permanent employment costs. Conducts projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency through appropriate staffing. Prepares project papers and staff reports; organizes and delivers briefings to managers. Serve as a liaison with internal and external customers for Property, Facilities, Emergency Management, Security, Budget, Travel, Audit and Internal Control Programs, Accountable Exit representatives.
