Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform inspections across all phases of production-including incoming supplier materials, in-process checks, First Article Inspections (FAIRs), IOS updates, and final inspections-to verify dimensional accuracy, ensure compliance with drawings and tolerances, and uphold product quality, integrity, and customer requirements.
What You Will Do:
Prepare to inspect by interpreting blueprints, data, and manuals to determine specifications, inspections and testing procedures.
Perform inspection on parts utilizing IOS books and standard Measurement and Test Equipment to ensure conformance.
Build programs for verifying conformity of production parts, development, investigations, fixturing and gaging through the use of Keyance, Optical Comparators, and CMM.
Review paperwork to ensure completion and accuracy of all documents including routers.
Review and validate new CMM programs to ensure proper setup and conformance
Build/Create standard work.
Proficient with Solidworks and capable of creating fixturing.
Collaborate with suppliers and customers to align on inspection/programming techniques.
Maintain and troubleshoot CMM and programming issues.
Provide additional support to other inspection roles.
Fill out paperwork (electronic and paper) such as turnback forms, inspection or test data, and entering all part transactions into SAP.
Train and assist less experienced peers and operators.
Actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities, and work with stakeholders in and operations to problem solve and establish priorities.
Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and other functions as set by your leader and position.
Over 40 hours per week as scheduled to meet business needs.
All other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.

Qualifications We Require:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:
4+ years progressive programming experience.
6+ years in a progressive manufacturing environment preferred.
Advanced proficiency in CMM programming and software such as OpenDMIS, GeoMeasure, Verisurf, Calypso, etc.
Moderate proficiency in Blue/White Light, Optical, and other 3D scanning techniques
Advanced proficiency in shop math, geometry, and algebra.
Advanced proficiency with detailed drawings including geometric tolerances, dimensions, general features and blueprint reading.
Familiarity with industry inspection techniques.
Familiarity with 2D vision systems.
Advanced proficiency in reading CMM reports.
Advanced proficiency utilizing fixturing to stage product for inspection.
Advanced proficiency with computer skills (E-mail, internet, basic MS office including excel).
Advanced proficiency in verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Moderate knowledge of inspection gages and tools
Advanced knowledge of the Quality Management System, including internal requirements and procedures.
Advanced knowledge of manufacturing knowledge including the techniques, tools, and principles and processes involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.
