The Hardware Engineering department leads in the mechanical hardware design, development, and production of weapons systems. We use state-of-the-art tools, processes, and technology, with capabilities encompassing a broad range of technical disciplines, including product engineering, manufacturing, technical services, materials engineering, analysis and test, rapid hardware development/builds and configuration and data management documentation.
The Engineering Rapid Build Solutions (ERBS) department is chartered to deliver agile services. We bridge across Operations and Engineering, providing solutions through the execution of quick-turn design, procurement, manufacturing, and environmental test services.
The ERBS directorate is looking for an individual to perform the role of Stores Cell Lead in the Engineering Rapid Build Solutions (ERBS).
This position is located on-site in Tewksbury, MA.
What You Will Do
This role requires daily interaction with other cross-business teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives of achieving/exceeding cost, quality, schedule, and safety goals. These teams include project management, technical support, manufacturing and design engineering, quality, material planners, Environmental Health and Safety, and facility maintenance. Performance criteria for this position includes identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using Raytheon Technologies (RTX) CORE and lean manufacturing methodologies.
You will support deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools, and metrics to accurately measure progress, identify defects, determine root cause, and develop/implement corrective action plans.
Work with Production Control personnel to meet schedules.
Work with other Cell Leads, Operators, and Managers to implement lean work practices and maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
Use PRISM and Wavetrak to release shop orders to the lab.
Overseeing individuals inducting, putting away material and kitting parts to support assembly.
Enforcement of company policies, procedures, and labor contract
Quality and Safety audit support
Managing the transfer of material between sites, suppliers and RTX.
Oversight of daily activities of up to 6 people across several areas.
Track and maintain area metrics including cycle counts, waiting induction, putaways, and dock to stock.
Responsibility for operator's timecards, daily work flow, documentation of disciplinary actions, etc.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills in a manufacturing environment and utilize data-driven decision making to run the department effectively.
?This role requires daily collaboration across a variety of functional and program areas through data analysis, and fact-based influence to maintain organizational goals and objectives.?
The individual in this role will quickly develop credibility and influence, working with the Operations Logistics Management, Internal ERBS Planners, Quality to align the operations execution plan with critical customer deadlines, supply chain strategies, and financial targets.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
5 years of related work experience in hardware development and/or production/manufacturing/operations.
Leadership experience in manufacturing, planning, scheduling, operations, or related environments.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in aerospace/defense industry.
Must be well-organized, ability to multi-task, and works well under pressure.
Experience with Common Manufacturing Enterprise System (CMES), Wavetrak and PRISM.
Experience utilizing lean manufacturing and CORE principles.
Experience working with Microsoft 365.
Project leadership and process improvements.
Experience supervising bargaining unit employees.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
