About the Position:
The Senior Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a range of tasks including data entry, report compilation, and coordination of meetings and activities. The position requires a high degree of customer service and the ability to work independently, attention to detail, and strong communication and organizational skills.

What You'll Do:
Answer calls, assist visitors, and provide customer service including referral, tracking, and follow-up of customer issues; perform dispatching of service(s)
Assist the public and other City staff in interpreting and applying City policies, procedures, codes and ordinances
Research, respond to and track complaints and requests for information on services, regulations, procedures, and systems.
Process, verify and review materials, applications, records and reports for completeness and conformance with established regulations and procedures.
Process department accounting data including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing cards

What We're Looking For:
Two (2) years of administrative support and/or customer service experience.
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Some assignments in this classification require possession of, or ability to obtain, Notary Public Commission.
Some assignments in this classification require specialty certifications related to the area of assignment
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

The General Services Department, established in 2018, provides internal management services to support City departments in delivering cost-effective and efficient community programs. Responsibilities include fleet maintenance and acquisition, facilities and real estate management, parking, procurement, warehousing, project coordination, streets maintenance, golf course operations, right-of-way weed maintenance, solid waste and recycling services. The Department is committed to operational excellence through teamwork, leadership, and communication, ensuring City resources are well-managed and maintained to support the needs of the community.
