Human Resource Assistant (HR Assistant) Opening

We currently have a great opportunity for a skilled Human Resources Assistant in a large company recently listed on the Business Journal's "2017 Best Places to Work" list. In this role, you will perform basic administrative assistant duties, as well as research the Internet to locate potential job candidates, assist with planning new employee orientation meetings and maintain employee database records. This position has competitive pay and offers a matching 401(k).

Requirements

Organization and Time Management Skills: Managing schedules, documentation, and multiple tasks simultaneously is essential in this role.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for liaising with employees, managers, and outside contacts.

Attention to Detail: HR Coordinators often verify employee records, payroll data, and compliance documentation, making accuracy critical.

Knowledge of HR Systems and Tools: Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems), payroll software, and other HR management tools is a valuable skill in this position.

Problem-Solving Skills: HR Coordinators should be adept at resolving employee concerns in ways that align with company policies while maintaining a positive workplace environment.

Understanding of Employment Law: Knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR regulations is crucial for ensuring legal adherence.

Interpersonal Skills: Building relationships across teams and creating an approachable atmosphere for employee concerns is a key responsibility.

Recruitment Support Skills: In many organizations, HR Coordinators assist with onboarding, screening candidates, and facilitating new hire processes.

Administrative Expertise: Proficiency in administrative tasks like managing employee files, generating reports, and supporting HR management is beneficial.

Adaptability and Multitasking: HR Coordinators frequently work in fast-paced environments where priorities can shift quickly, requiring adaptability and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
