Description

We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join our client's team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this PART-TIME HOURS ON-SITE long-term contract role with an opportunity to go permanent with our client with possible full tiem hours , you will play a critical part in analyzing and managing financial data to support the company's operational and strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

Perform detailed cost analysis to evaluate and improve financial efficiency within manufacturing processes.

Prepare accurate financial reports and statements to aid in strategic decision-making.

Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial data entry and reconciliation.

Oversee payroll operations to maintain compliance and accuracy.

Review and process invoices, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and performance tracking.

Monitor and report on manufacturing costs, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all financial practices.

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits and internal reviews.

Requirements - Proven experience in manufacturing cost accounting and financial analysis.

Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial reports.

Expertise in managing month-end close processes and related accounting tasks.

Familiarity with payroll systems and procedures.

Solid understanding of invoice processing and documentation requirements.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Knowledge of accounting principles and compliance standards.
