Internship Overview:
Make an impact with Duke Energy's Enterprise Solutions & Services Change Management Summer Internship. Join a team that leads organizational change management and readiness for technology and security efforts affecting our enterprise. Roles / Responsibilities may include:
Change Management: Support and execute plans to prepare, equip and support others through change including sponsorship, coaching, communications, training and resistance management plans
Communication & Training Execution: Support development and execution of easy-to-understand and creative communication and/or training to effectively prepare our internal clients for change
What We're Looking For:
Strong Communicators: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting clear and compelling messages
Collaborative Team Players: Ability to thrive in a team environment, bringing diverse perspectives and energy to collaborative efforts

Basic/Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree as a rising senior or graduate student in Psychology, Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Business or related field
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
Must not graduate prior to August 2026
Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications:
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Exposure to or familiarity with areas such as change management, human resources, marketing/communications or people-related field
Leadership potential or skills displayed through extracurricular activities (e.g., sports, community service, clubs and academic organizations)
Strong interest in emerging technologies, including Generative AI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), with a focus on learning and applying these skills to real-world efforts
Willingness to take on a variety of different tasks and efforts
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Previous change management / readiness, design or corporate experience
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Self-driven, motivated and proactive
Working Conditions:
Location: Charlotte, NC
Hybrid mobility classification - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations. In office 3 days per week.
Minimal to no travel required.
This opportunity requires a 40-hour work week.
Internship summer session length is 10-12 weeks.
