As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, checking credentials, and conducting routine patrols of the premises. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Control access to the location by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Document observations and incidents clearly and promptly in daily activity reports and/or incident reports.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for irregularities and help to deter unwanted activity.
Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to uphold security-related procedures.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate and as outlined in site-specific policies.

Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Be at least 21 years of age.
A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
