Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Amazon Project Kuiper team is looking for a talented and passionate individual to lead our global integrated marketing, including brand strategy, brand marketing, media planning/buying, social media marketing, and sponsorships (department head). Jobs like this don't come along often. You'll be a key leader defining the Kuiper brand and establishing it as a trusted and loved brand around the world for consumers, businesses and government organizations.

Your team is responsible for brand strategy; the universal Kuiper; campaign and brand activation ideation, creation, execution, and localization; media strategy, planning, buying, and optimization; organic social media strategy including influencer marketing, boosted content, and community building/engagement; sponsorship strategy, negotiation, and activation; and more.

Kuiper is an early-stage business. As such, hiring great talent, career development, and mentorship are essential for this role as you build your global team. Adaptability and resilience in the face of changing team needs, market conditions, and external factors is critically important, as is the ability to partner and collaborate closely with cross-Amazon teams and external partners.

Key job responsibilities

Establish, enforce, and evolve brand strategy, standards, and expressions globally in alignment with Kuiper brand tenets.

Establish and direct concepts for campaigns including building on our core global creative and bringing life to it.

Innovate in the way we use creative assets, channels, partners, emergent technology, and more to breakthrough to our target customers.

Oversee our global social media team and agency, building a meaningful social community, driving deeper prospect and customer engagement, and leading our use of influencers to establish awareness and brand salience.

Partner closely with our in-house creative team and creative AOR to deliver breakthrough, enduring creative while maintaining agility in the face of changing customer needs.

Collaborate closely with B2C, B2B, B2G commercial and marketing leaders to ensure creative assets resonate with our customers and prospects.

Leverage data-driven customer insights and deep knowledge of your craft to make decisions. Evaluate efficacy based on objective metrics and customer insights to continually improve.

Translate internal strategy into clear direction for creative teams, agencies, partners.

Be on the pulse of current and emerging trends in adtech/martech, marketing, and social.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

Experience managing teams

10+ years professional marketing experience in related disciplines (brand, creative, acquisition, strategy, media, sponsorship)

Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements

Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Experience managing a budget and delivering financial results

Experience embracing new technologies, and ways of working

Ability to travel globally as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in traditional and emerging media channels including TV, OOH, cinema, digital display, online video and paid social

Experience leading across multiple locales

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
