Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Plans, manages, and coordinates the engineering design work requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for electrical loads

Assists Sales to prepare technical proposals and pricing on engineered orders for power systems

May supports Sales in making sales calls and customer contacts

Interprets customer supplied specifications, drawings and one-line diagrams for solution development, and cost estimates

Designs and develops the best cost/performance product

Manage design packages to the Drafting department

Generates test procedures and manuals required with the product

Works with Assembly, Procurement and field technicians during build, test or start up to resolve issues

Coordinate engineering response and action plans

Work as part of a project team to deliver cost effective, manufacturable designs

Supports the maintenance of documentation via engineering change procedures

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

3+ years of experience in the following:

Developing and creating new products in the electromechanical products space

Experience with OEM electrical design activities, preferably in power design, generation, distribution or protection

Experience working with industrial equipment

Knowledge working with ERP systems

Experience in some of the following- power conversion, electrical systems, switch gear, utility, electrical construction, substation, generators

Nice to Have

Experience designing in the electrical testing space

Experience designing to UL, CSA, NEC, and other safety agency requirements

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $63.00/hr.
