Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

This position is responsible for assembling cut material into floor and roof trusses according to specifications. Additional duties include pulling plates, stacking finished products, banding and marking materials, and transporting products on carts to designated areas.

Responsibilities

Assemble cut materials into floor and roof trusses to specification.

Pull plates and set up equipment such as presses and nail guns.

Place cut materials and plates according to specifications.

Connect plates using hammer and/or press.

Lift and stack products off lumber carts, band and mark products, and transport them on carts to designated areas.

Conduct continuous quality reviews throughout processes to ensure quality and accuracy, including dimensions and lumber grades.

Read and interpret work orders and production schedules, whether @typed, handwritten, or on a computer screen.

Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves.

Essential Skills

6+ months of manufacturing or construction experience.

Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

Ability to read and interpret work orders and production schedules.

Must pass a skills test/measuring test with a score of 90% or better.

Ability to lift 50+ pounds consistently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $19.75/hr.
