The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. Microsoft Cloud Planning (MCP) is the central planning function within CSCP focused on forecasting, demand planning, and supply planning for all Microsoft Cloud services and associated hardware, directly impacting the success of Microsoft's cloud business.

Responsibilities
Perform rough-cut Tier 2 parts planning (in conjunction with Server, Network, and Component management) and supply smoothing to define the Supply Plan of Record and translate into long-term (1-2 year) supply plans for suppliers
Provide clear reporting insights and analytics on supply plan accuracy and volatility as well as execution to the Supply Plan of Record; work with Capacity Planning, Operations and Engineering teams to identify root cause and implement solutions to mitigate issues
Design, optimize and present supply planning metrics by collaborating with stakeholders within the organization (including supportability, inventory, forecast attainment, and SLA governance)
Collaborate with planning and sourcing team on multi-sourcing and substitution strategies.
Design and optimize processes regarding overall Supply management and utilization.
Perform scenario analysis to understand impact of component shortages, demand upside/downside, etc. to Supply Plan of Record
Maintain, validate and analyze master data and planning parameter integrity by collaborating with related teams within CSC
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Capacity Planning, Server and Component Planning, Finance and Systems Engineering teams
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 7+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years of cloud Component planning and/or sourcing experience within a tech environment
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills and knowledge in root cause analysis/problem solving and the ability to implement and drive corrective actions and efficiencies in a matrix environment
Experience running team operations
10 years of experience with multiple supply chain roles
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage key stakeholders, resolve problems and seek practical solutions.
Proficiency in Enterprise Planning systems (such as SAP, Oracle, E2Open, etc.) and business intelligence engines (SQL, Power BI, Power Pivot, Tableau, etc.) are highly desired for this role.
A proven track record of growth and increasing responsibility, specifically in acquiring scope/leading areas in supply chain and capacity planning.
Strong understanding of S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process and/or inventory management
Experience in Supply Chain Master Data management and governance
Supply Planning IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
