Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Mechanical Engineering college new hire in Orlando, FL.

The successful candidate must demonstrate highly innovative approaches to resolve difficult production and design issues.

This candidate will be responsible for the following actions: assisting production and development teams, resolving technical challenges, incorporating engineering changes, updating drawings / assembly parts lists, and developing new designs and tools.

The candidate will support hardware operations and may provide support to engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations as well as supplier support.

Basic Qualifications:

*Pursuing a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree.

Proficiency in CAD design tools, such as PTC Creo, 3DX/CATIA, Solidworks, Siemens NX etc.
Demonstrated successful group collaboration and/ or individual project work, ideally in an mechanics or design areas.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, work with system integration issues, design challenges, etc. demonstrated through hands-on experience.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Skills:
Hands-on experience with machining, rapid prototyping, or lab equipment (CNC, 3-D printers, test rigs)

*Experienced with GD&T, sketching, technical drawing standards, or similar hands-on hardware support.

*Basic FEA/CFD exposure (ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL).
Participation in engineering clubs, competitions (e.g. SAE, ASME competitions).
Basic understanding of industry standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM).
Experience with MATLAB.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Active clearance.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
