2nd Shift Sanitiation Supervisor

Kelly Science is seeking a 2nd Shift Sanitation Supervisor for a growing company located in Newburyport, MA.

Salary: $65,000-75,000/year

Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 5:00pm-3:00am

Employment Type: Full Time; Direct Hire

Job duties include:

Lead and support staff in cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and facilities, following scheduled routines and safety protocols.

Ensure all sanitation procedures and training meet company standards and regulatory requirements.

Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to policies, offering coaching and feedback where needed.

Provide hands-on help with chemical handling, safety practices, and the proper organization of sanitation supplies.

Oversee pest control activities by managing schedules, monitoring effectiveness, and coordinating with service providers to keep the facility safe.

Regularly review sanitation practices, spot issues, and help implement corrective actions if standards aren't met.

Work closely with other departments and shifts to quickly address and resolve sanitation concerns.

Assist with audits, such as GFSI or FSC22000, and support any required corrective actions.

Train team members in sanitation standards, safety procedures, and best practices.

Keep accurate records of inspections, violations, and key sanitation performance metrics.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, food safety or a related scientific field.

3+ years of experience in a quality assurance or sanitation role within a food manufacturing environment.

1+ years of demonstrated leadership experience

Bilingual in English and Spanish is required

Strong knowledge of Microbiology, Sanitation, Chemical Safety, and Pest Control.

Ability to work a flexible work scheduled if needed.
