Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is seeking highly motivated and qualified Project
Managers with a proven track record of contributing to sophisticated projects
in the transportation industry with preferred experience in the rail industry.
Experience with Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) and specifically
the Solid-State Interlocking System AND/OR Onboard ATC and Radio Systems AND/OR
Wayside ATC and Radio System for CBTC. This
specific project with its setup is the first of its kind in North America! Join
this long-term, innovative, and groundbreaking effort to lead and enhance the service
and support efforts to support our customer and its Communications-Based Train Control
system! This position will be hybrid based
in New York City, NY.

What your day-to-day will look like:
Lead the efforts related to the Onboard ATC andRadio Systems.
Drive the project timeline for service mobilization,project landmarks, material delivery, and acceptance for the assignedsystems.
Achieve the defined project scope, goals, anddeliverables that support the business goals and requirements incollaboration with account sales executives, senior management, andpartners.
Be part of meetings with clients to take detailed userrequirements and clarify specific requirements for the project'scontracted scope(s).
Contribute to the overall project plan and associatedcommunications documents. Work effectively with the allocated resourcesand participants needed to achieve project goals.
Follow the given direction to implement our projectprocess and management principles to all aspects of the project scope anddeliverables.
Effectively communicate project expectations to allpartners in a timely and transparent fashion. Contribute to deliverprogress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, andpresentations.
Monitor and contribute to meet the overall budgetaryobjectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis. Useappropriate verification techniques to handle changes in project scope,schedule, and costs.
Contribute to the overall risk management to minimizeproject risks.
Work toward the set and continually manage projectexpectations with team members and other partners.
Identify and handle project dependencies and criticalpaths.
Define project success criteria for the assignedresponsibility and disseminate them to involved parties throughout theproject life cycle.
Work closely and collaborative with project team memberand contractors, and influence them to take positive action andaccountability for their assigned work.
Contribute to the monthly project reports, customerprogress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations tomanagement and internal and external partners.
Track and optimize the defined critical metrics fromthe service contract throughout the project (reliability, availability,safety, etc.).
Build, develop, and grow any business relationshipsvital to the project's success.
To thrive in this role, you have:
HighSchool Diploma / GED.
2+ years of experience in aTechnical Project Management function or related role.
Minimum2 years of experience in Communications-Based Train Control Maintenance, specificallywithin one of these three areas - the Solid-State Interlocking System AND/OROnboard ATC and Radio Systems AND/OR Wayside ATC and Radio System for CBTC.
Knowledge of project managementmethodology and terminology.
Experience in contributing tosignificant level projects ($5M+ range).
Working knowledge ofmaintenance management and familiarity with the Signaling CBTC industry,equipment, technology, and regulatory obligations.
Willing to work primarily inour New York, NY office and meet frequently with the client at theclient's location.
Experience collaborating withcustomers and leading customer interactions.
· Setting
you apart from others would be a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of project
related experience within the rail industry. PM Certification is desired.

The actual salary/wage offered may be loweror higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, andqualifications.
