What You Will Do
Join the AOT-OPS Targets and Experimental Support Team at Los Alamos National Laboratory, supporting world-class research at the LANSCE proton accelerator. Our team operates neutron spallation targets and provides critical fabrication and operational support for accelerator programs.
We work in a dynamic, mission-critical environment focused on continuous target system operation during beam delivery periods. We manage complex systems such as:
Radioactive water cooling
High-vacuum systems
Helium refrigeration liquefying hydrogen to 20 Kelvin
Given the radiological hazards and 24/7 beam operations, we prioritize safety, reliability, and quality through:
High workmanship standards and redundancy
Preventative maintenance and inventory control
Detailed documentation and staff development
Our expertise includes welding, machining, fabrication, radiological work, cryogenics, vacuum/pressure systems, and robotic remote handling systems.
If you're a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a collaborative, high-impact environment, apply today.
