What you'll do...
As a Director of Engineering for Emerging Tech at Walmart, you will lead the strategy, development, and innovation of mobile platforms across iOS, Android, and React Native. You'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of customer experiences through cutting-edge mobile technologies, driving scalable solutions that impact millions of users.
You will partner closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional Engineering teams to deliver seamless, performant, and secure mobile experiences. Your leadership will foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
What you will do:
You have deep expertise in mobile development across iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin/Java), and React Native.
You've led high-performing engineering teams and scaled mobile platforms in large-scale consumer environments.
You're passionate about emerging technologies and their application in retail and commerce.
You thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and are comfortable navigating ambiguity.
You're a strategic thinker who can balance long-term vision with short-term execution.
Leading and mentoring a team of mobile engineers across multiple platforms.
Defining and executing the mobile technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
Driving architectural decisions and ensuring best practices in mobile development.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative customer experiences.
Championing performance, accessibility, and security across mobile applications.
Staying ahead of industry trends and integrating emerging technologies where applicable.
What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
10+ years of experience in software engineering with 5+ years in mobile development.
5+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles.
Proven experience with iOS, Android, and React Native frameworks.
Strong understanding of CI/CD, mobile testing frameworks, and app store deployment processes.
Experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing applications.
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and backend integration.
Contributions to open-source mobile projects or developer communities.

Sunnyvale, California US-11656: The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00 - $338,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735: The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...
