Description

Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support our client based in Union City, California on a contract basis.

This role is ideal for someone with a detail-oriented approach to managing accounts payable processes and experienced in accounting software systems, Including Oracle or SAP.

This position is anticipated to last 4-6 weeks and requires working onsite, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

Manage and process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

Ensure proper account coding and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Utilize accounting software systems to maintain organized financial records and documentation.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Handle accrual accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting.

Perform audits of invoices and payments to identify errors and ensure accuracy.

Process Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and other electronic transactions.

Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts payable workflows and improve efficiency.

Maintain strong relationships with vendors and address any payment-related inquiries.

Generate detailed reports on accounts payable activities for management review.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounts payable or related accounting functions.

Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Oracle or SAP ERP platforms.

Strong knowledge of account coding and accrual accounting practices.

Familiarity with auditing processes and financial compliance standards.

Ability to process ACH payments and other electronic financial transactions.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams.

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
