Description

Robert Half is hiring for a Staff Accountant to support a growing organization in a hands-on accounting role focused on development-stage project accounting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand both technical and operational accounting skills while working cross-functionally with departments such as Treasury, Accounts Payable, and Project Finance to ensure accurate reporting of development and corporate costs.

Responsibilities:

Reconcile high-volume bank accounts and prepare weekly bank reconciliations in NetSuite (or similar ERP).

Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations to support monthly and quarterly close processes.

Maintain monthly cash reporting to assist with cash flow analysis.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Assist with process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.

Support the Development Accounting Manager with various accounting tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.

1-2 years of experience in accounting; a combination of public and private experience is a plus.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, and common formulas).

Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software preferred.

Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Team-oriented, flexible, and eager to learn from cross-functional partners.

Experience within the energy, real estate, or construction industries is a plus.
