The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inquisitive detail-oriented engineer with experience in the design and development process of MATLAB applications in an Agile environment. In this position, you will use your skills to develop workflow improvements to develop products that accelerate the reporting deliverable process in the Performance Assessment Department at NSWC Corona.

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with government personnel to troubleshoot, develop and maintain applications across multiple platforms in support of the US Navy

Engage with analysts in their projects and workflows to accelerate the pace of their development and innovation

Create and deliver presentations and demonstrate tools developed

Scope technical projects and coordinate with other analysts and software developers to address customer needs in specialized areas

Qualifications:

Required:

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Active secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and Naval installations

Must have a BS degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline

At least 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 1 year of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience)

Must be able to perform occasional travel, less than 10%

Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods

Must be willing to work on site in Norco, California?

Experience programming in MATLAB or Python

Experience using MATLAB Live Editor and MATLAB Apps

Knowledge and implementation of the software development lifecycle

Knowledge and implementation of Agile and engineering development processes

Experience in product development

Experience in tool verification and validation

Experience with the Git version control system

Experience in memory management techniques

Desired:

Experience using MATLAB Parallel Server

Experience developing for and deploying to MATLAB Production Server

Experience with Container Technology

Experience with application testing: Unit, Integration, System, Acceptance

Experience with parallel programming and multithreading

Experience with machine learning techniques and packages

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$69,600 - 142,700 USD
