You will be the Industrial Engieer for the Missiles and Fire Control production team. Our team is responsible for leading Industrial Engineering activities that analyze and improve processes, reduce costs, and drive decisions now and in the future.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Industrial Engieer you will be responsible for collaborating with a cross-functional team to identify and implement process improvements in a production area.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Performing process observations and time studies to support cost analysis and improvement activities
Using metrics, data tools, and visualization to analyze and identify cost, quality, and schedule drivers
Planning and implementing facility layouts and workstation improvements
Applying Lean Six Sigma tools and leading continuous improvement projects
Utilizing discrete event simulation (e.g., Simio, FlexSim, ProSim, Arena) and capacity tools to evaluate current and future business needs

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

Knowledge and understanding of Industrial Engineering or Lean Six Sigma concepts

Experience working in a team-based environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools, particularly Excel

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting. Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
