What will you be doing?
The Cloud Solutions Integration SME operates as a technical expert and advisor, focusing on deploying and integrating cloud solutions, managing infrastructure modernization, and driving customer success with Google Cloud products and services. This role requires experience in owning outcomes and decision-making, solving ambiguous problems, influencing stakeholders, driving progress, and mentoring more junior team members.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with WWT program personnel, Google Public Sector teams, and WWT customers to provide consulting, scoping, planning, quoting, and technical expertise that aligns with complex customer requirements.
Help prospective and existing customers understand the differentiating factors of the Google Cloud platform's power.
Recommend and implement application integration strategies, architectures, Google services, and application infrastructure necessary to implement complete solutions within Google Cloud.
Serve as a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.
Engage in proofs of concept (POCs), troubleshoot technical roadblocks, and develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve business challenges.
Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environment(s) and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastructure and application modernization.
Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful implementations of cloud solutions.
Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks, issues, and timelines.
Work with internal specialists, product, and engineering teams to package approaches, best practices, and implement lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
Share enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, and product and solution briefings.
Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and proto@type integrations in customer and partner environments.
Overall Program Support: Assist where needed to keep the overall program successful.
Requirements:
Active Top Secret SCI clearance with CI Poly.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
Technical Expertise: Networking, DevOps, Compute, Storage, Kubernetes, planning infrastructure modernization, virtualization, application/server assessments, designing cloud adoption plans, and migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, as needed, for client engagements.
Desired:
Advanced Education: MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Specialized Domain Expertise:
Experience in advanced networking and storage, such as system design of load balancers, firewalls, VPN, and production-grade storage.
Experience in accelerated computing, such as Kubernetes, GKE, EKS, and GPU workloads.
Knowledge of AI/ML Infrastructure, such as AI/ML frameworks like JAX, PyTorch, or Tensorflow.
Experience with customer-facing migration, including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.
Experience with Google Cloud products.
Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.
Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers, and firewalls.
Technical/Communication Skills:
Ability to understand, debug, and contribute to existing, complex software systems.
Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $175,000 to $210,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
