Responsibilities You will analyze reliability and failure to determine the need for repair capabilities and facilities, and hardware and software modifications to maintain life cycle supportability requirements and ensure logistic support throughout the life cycle. You will oversee design and development of hardware and software faulting techniques to support operational and maintenance training to insure training system requirements are met. You will support the sustaining engineering, repair and return, laboratory maintenance and field engineering budget formulation for the life cycle of Strategic Weapons System (SWS), Attach Weapons System (AWS), and United Kingdom trainers. You will provide leadership and oversight to cross-functional teams in support of SWS, AWS, and UK Trainer system initiatives, ensuring alignment with schedule and budget objectives. You will actively participates in proposal evaluation, fact-finding and other contract negotiations in coordination with the contracting officer representative (COR) and contracting officer. You will drive operational efficiency through proactive risk management, optimal resource allocation, and consistent stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project delivery and sustained customer satisfaction. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the basic education requirement, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer serves as consultant regarding equipment /systems development, acquisition, responsible for overall budget plans for many varied/diverse features of assigned program areas, considers the costs/risks associated with operations of extremely complicated equipment, software, and unique components. Demonstrates independent authority to identify, develop and implement recommendations/solutions to problems, risks, and potential outcomes in the assigned program area. Manages all technical efforts to ensure reliability and accuracy to related problems that involve processes, and methods related to professional fields of engineering; their integration; and design requirements, standards, codes, techniques, and trade practices. Serves as an adviser, to provide technical and professional guidance or advice to senior level managers and engineers concerning unusual or critical problems that often affect the work of other senior engineers, support contractors, or may impact other significant programs.
