We are currently looking for a Project Scheduler to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. The Project Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing production schedules, ensuring that manufacturing processes are planned efficiently and meet customer demands. This role involves coordinating with various departments to optimize resources, balance production workloads, and address any scheduling conflicts to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
What You Will Be Doing
Scheduling and Forecasting:
Create and maintain detailed schedules in Primavera P6 that include work orders, activities, hold points, resource allocation, and timelines for each production phase.
Utilize forecasting tools and historical data to predict future production needs and adjust schedules accordingly.
Production Planning:
Develop and maintain comprehensive production schedules to align with customer orders and production capacity.
Analyze production requirements and develop plans that optimize manufacturing resources and minimize downtime.
Resource Coordination:
Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure the availability of space and personnel necessary for production.
Load personnel resources into Primavera P6 and utilize the program to provide workforce forecasts at the project level and as rollup summaries.
Process Optimization:
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production process and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
Implement and monitor best practices for scheduling and resource management.
Incorporate lessons learned and sequence changes into repeatable master schedules for manufacturing.
Communication and Collaboration:
Serve as a liaison between production, procurement, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure alignment and timely resolution of scheduling issues.
Communicate production schedules and changes effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
Problem Solving:
Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, production delays, and other issues that may impact delivery timelines.
Implement corrective actions and contingency plans to mitigate schedule risks and ensure continuous production flow.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and maintain accurate records of production schedules and work orders.
Generate and present reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and resource utilization to management.
Additional Duties as Assigned
Your Background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field required.
Minimum of 5 years of previous Scheduling experience in the construction industry required.
Must be proficient with Primavera P6. Microsoft Project and other scheduling software experience is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years' experience and proficiency in CPM Scheduling.
Knowledge of construction; particularly in Shipbuilding, Mechanical, and Electrical systems a plus.
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Must have a mature ability to lead effectively and work as part of a team.
Possess substantial industry knowledge, continuous learning ability, innovative spirit, and agile problem-solving skills
Have intermediate skill in handling multiple responsibilities, setting priorities, managing tasks, and overseeing several projects simultaneously.
Be proficient in working under time pressure.
Demonstrate working knowledge of practical project management software and spreadsheet skills; be proficient in computer operation skills.
Possess good organizational skills, be detail-oriented & accurate, and demonstrate intermediate analytical skills.
Ability to communicate requirements in an industrial environment.
Business Development, Customer Service, and Communication skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass all Background Clearances.

The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.
