As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, manage badge access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout your assigned area, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and site-specific procedures.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies relevant to the manufacturing and industrial environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues and identify any unusual activity.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific emergency protocols.

Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
