POSITION SPECIFICS
The Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Telehealth (SAFE-T) System, a novel nurse-led telehealth program housed within Penn State's Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing, is seeking a Project Manager for its telehealth operations and clinical service delivery.
The Project Manager will provide key project management support for the operational and clinical aspects of Penn State's SAFE-T System.
This role is critical to supporting a groundbreaking nurse-led telehealth program that connects rural and underserved communities with expert Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) for live forensic examination support in both Pennsylvania and Idaho.
The Project Manager position combines strategic project management with coordination of resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure seamless program execution. This role provides essential leadership support to project teams by developing and implementing standardized processes, facilitating cross-team communication, balancing workloads, prioritizing, tracking and meeting project milestones and deliverables, and standardizing processes for current and future efficiency.
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and executing initiatives that enhance telehealth service delivery, facilitating clear stakeholder communications, and maintaining rigorous quality standards across all SAFE-T program operations.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in expanding access to critical forensic examination services while advancing innovative telehealth solutions in healthcare.
The Project Manager will utilize leadership, team management, and organizational skills, as well as emotional intelligence to complete this position's responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:
Team Coordination and Communication
Facilitate communication among stakeholders, team members, and clients, including elevating risks and concerns to leadership.
Organize and lead meetings; prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up materials.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
Create supporting documents and presentations for meetings.
Planning and Scope Management
Define project objectives and develop detailed project plans and timelines.
Break down complex projects into manageable tasks and set realistic milestones.
Assist team members with prioritization and workload balancing.
Identify and mitigate project risks.
Monitoring and Quality Control
Track project progress and team effort against timelines and budgets using project management tools.
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and review for accuracy.
Oversee development and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Troubleshoot issues as needed.
Resource Management
Support budget, personnel, equipment, and material management for SAFE-T projects.
Assist staff with time tracking, prioritization, and asset purchasing.
Coordinate and provide programmatic support for special events.
Oversee onboarding of new hires.
Supervise contractors, interns, volunteers, and part-time staff.
Monitor team member accountability for assigned work and quality deliverables.
This position will be expected to travel four to five times per year for meetings, conferences, training, and/or other special events.
After training, the Project Manager will also work with various software including Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Microsoft Office 365, RedCap, SAP Concur, Slack, and Teamwork, as well as the following which are specific to Penn State:
SIMBA (System for Integrated Management, Budgeting and Accounting)
WorkLion (collection of general HR information and resources, along with an inquiry system)
PSUbuy (Penn State's system to procure goods and services)

Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder projects from initiation to completion.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365, as well as familiarity and experience with project management software and tools.
Proven ability to coordinate teams and facilitate meetings with stakeholders.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; inclusive and respectful when working with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working on grant-funded projects and/or in healthcare operations.
Demonstrated ability to work in environments that require discretion and professionalism.
Background in process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives.
Experience managing budgets and resources.
A Project Management Professional Certification is highly preferred.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree
3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

SALARY & BENEFITSThe salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $76,700.00 - $115,100.00.
