Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a 3 month contract-to-hire opportunity supporting both Marketing Campaign and credit card origination teams. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in advanced analytics and survey analysis. Candidates must have an advanced degree- either a Masters or PHD. Candidates can have experience with any of the following tools- SAS, R, or python. Candidates need to be able to do factor analysis.

Top Skills:

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field

Proficiency in one or more of the following: SAS, R, Python

Experience with Tableau for data visualization

Strong data wrangling and factor analysis capabilities

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Up-to-date knowledge of machine learning and data analytics tools and techniques

Strong understanding of predictive modeling methodologies

Experience with structured and unstructured data

Proficiency in R/RStudio, Python, SAS, SQL, and NoSQL

Familiarity with Cloud ML technologies (e.g., AWS SageMaker) and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, caret)

Advanced statistical methods: Bayesian Networks, regression (linear/non-linear), hierarchical and mixed models

Ability to communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences

Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently across multiple tasks

Strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity and outcome-focused mindset

Professional presence and ability to build relationships across functions

Preferred Experience

Financial Services experience

1-3 years of experience in machine learning, cloud computing, predictive modeling, and big data analysis

Experience with survey analysis is a plus

Education

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related fields

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
