Responsible for providing administrative support to the daily operations of the Pacemaker Device Center. Responsible for making appointments for patients, alerting nurses to patient clinical concerns. Performs registration and confirms patient insurance verification. Answers phones, contacts patients, takes complete phone messages. Effectively communicates via phone and email ensuring that all Administrative Assistant duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
Principal Accountabilities:
Verifies patient insurance plans, obtains authorizations.
Provides outstanding customer service to patients, their families.
Assists with EPIC work Ques.
Must have excellent phone etiquette skills-calls patients to confirm appts. answer questions etc.
Strong communication skills, maintains organized work space.
Produces and distributes correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms. Requires strong, professional communication skills
Orders office supplies and assists with general office tasks.
Provides general support to visitors and provides information by answering questions and requests.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Administration or relevant area.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
