STATIONARY EQUIPMENT MANAGER AT PRIMEFLIGHT
The Stationary Equipment Manager is a critical role responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of all stationary equipment within the airport. This position involves managing a team of technicians and coordinating with other departments to ensure that all stationary equipment, such as conveyor belts, escalators, and HVAC systems, are functioning efficiently and safely. The manager is also tasked with developing maintenance schedules, managing budgets for repairs and upgrades, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Strong leadership and technical skills are essential as the manager must effectively troubleshoot issues, optimize equipment performance, and implement continuous improvement strategies. Additionally, you will be responsible for training staff on new technologies and safety protocols to maintain a high standard of service within the airport.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of stationary equipment used in airport facilities, including baggage handling systems, conveyor belts, HVAC systems, and more
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure the reliability and longevity of stationary equipment
Manage a team of stationary equipment technicians, providing leadership, training, and guidance to ensure efficient and high-quality maintenance work
Collaborate with airport management to prioritize equipment maintenance based on operational needs and safety requirements
Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance schedules, work orders, and repair histories to track performance and compliance with industry standards
Conduct regular inspections of stationary equipment to identify issues, defects, or signs of wear and tear, taking prompt corrective actions
Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to source replacement parts and equipment components, ensuring timely repairs and replacements
Evaluate the performance of equipment and systems, making recommendations for upgrades or replacements when necessary to improve efficiency and safety
Manage equipment-related budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring cost-effective maintenance practices
Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures for equipment operation and maintenance, adhering to industry regulations and guidelines
Work closely with engineering and construction teams to plan and execute equipment installations and upgrades, minimizing disruptions to airport operations
Conduct training programs for equipment technicians and operators to enhance their skills and knowledge in equipment maintenance and safety
Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among equipment maintenance staff to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment
Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and provide technical expertise to resolve challenging maintenance problems
Stay informed about advancements in equipment technology and maintenance practices to recommend innovative solutions and improvements
Manage equipment-related documentation, including warranties, service manuals, and technical specifications
Respond to equipment emergencies promptly, coordinating with relevant airport departments to minimize downtime
Collaborate with environmental and sustainability teams to ensure equipment operations align with eco-friendly practices and regulations
Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure equipment performance and develop strategies for continuous improvement
Support the airport's mission to provide a safe, efficient, and passenger-friendly environment by maintaining stationary equipment at optimal levels
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance and management
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong technical knowledge of stationary equipment and systems
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards
Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
Pass a background check and drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
