This position is located in IT DIR OFFICE, ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS, MOCAS SYSTEM, ZTCE Responsibilities Development, evaluation, planning, scheduling and implementation of new or modified hardware, operating systems and applications software. Maintaining overall IT systems integrity by ensuring operating systems and application software are properly installed and configured in compliance with Federal laws and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and policies. Management of IT systems resources to include availability, capacity, performance, serviceability, and recoverability. Resolution of hardware/software interface and interoperability problems. Responsible for the development, analysis, presentation of plans and integration of new IT capabilities and technology into the existing enterprise architecture. Identifies and resolves highly complex IT challenges that cross organizational boundaries and promulgates solutions. Makes recommendations to achieve a sound IT strategy which is fully integrated within DoD IT strategy. Specialized experience is defined as serving as an expert systems developer and architect for the full lifecycle of software systems using a wide range of technologies (mainframe, client-server, web, cloud); designs, develops, maintains, and troubleshoots systems; ensures compliance with relevant standards and incorporates emerging technologies; addresses problem reports and contributes to overall system architecture.
