Description

We are looking for an experienced Executive Legal Assistant to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering the opportunity to contribute to high-level administrative and legal operations within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting attorneys, compliance professionals, and departmental leadership through efficient coordination and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Support attorneys and compliance professionals in managing contracts, including business associate agreements and educational affiliation agreements.

Coordinate and oversee office operations by delegating tasks, organizing schedules, and ensuring deadlines are met for correspondence and special projects.

Prepare and maintain various reports, schedules, and confidential records under the direction of departmental leadership.

Organize and maintain calendars, appointment schedules, and files for departmental professionals.

Attend and document committee and management meetings, ensuring follow-up and appropriate distribution of meeting outcomes.

Process payroll entries, wage garnishments, and other service-related tasks as required.

Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda with precision and professionalism.

Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and applicable regulations to uphold quality and safety standards.

Requirements - Proven experience with e-Filing, court filings, and civil litigation processes.

Strong skills in calendar management and organizing schedules for multiple professionals.

Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail.

Familiarity with bulk mailings and mass mailings processes.

Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information discreetly and professionally.

Experience with contract repository systems and training staff on system operations.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to handle competing priorities.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise across teams and external partners.
