What you'll do...
The Failure Analysis Engineer (Senior QE) will be tasked with performing hardware failure analysis on field returns, proto@type builds, qualification failures, yield failures, and new product development support for TV and Audio products.
The assigned tasks will be diverse and complex in nature which requires exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail. This position will need to exercise sound judgment in methods used to solve problems and in the evaluation of the results.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Perform preliminary failure analysis as needed, including external visual examination, symptom verification, and identification of hardware failure modes, location and mechanisms
Conduct electrical engineering failure analysis of components, including integrated circuit fault isolation, to identify failure mechanism using schematics, layouts and test equipment
Communicate and highlight product quality issues externally and internally.
Develop, characterize, and optimize FA techniques and tools to advance FA capabilities and efficiency
Work with ODMs and engineering groups to identify root cause of product failures
Generate and review detailed failure analysis reports, recommend corrective and preventative actions
Occasional travels to visit and audit our suppliers' FA procedures onsite
Requirements

Education and experience requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
3 to 5 years of experience in hardware failure analysis engineering
Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese language is strongly preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00
