The Additive Manufacturing Engineer will impact departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. This role will give you an opportunity to grow your skills and experience, use your hands on manufacturing design and process to help be a leader in Additive. This role will have you planning and executing for operations with a high impact on business needs. Your eye for detail and process improvement will be used while giving you a chance to see the latest in additive design.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Work in a hands-on environment to develop new and improved processes for additive manufacturing technology
Lead execution of in-house process improvement DOEs and development proto@types
Produce proto@type and low-rate production hardware and transition new, turn-key processes into Supply Chain shops
Execute on established strategies, implementing best practices for Additive Manufacturing
Lead/Co-lead/participate in low complexity problem solving efforts
Engineer will be expected to interact with Design, EMS, Quality, external Supply Chain vendors and equipment manufacturers
Execute the design, analysis or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project
Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of Manufacturing and/or Design Engineering experience)
Desired Characteristics:
Working knowledge of manufacturing work instructions and shop planning
Experience with specification and drawing interpretation.
Established project management skills
Lean Six Sigma experience and/or formal training
Experience with CAD and STL models
Working knowledge of additive process parameters and equipment
