Ward Apparatus is looking for a highly motivated automotive mechanical engineer/designer who likes to be hands on with design and work in a fast-paced team environment. We design and build rescue trucks for the fire and emergency services industry. Our products are relied on in the harshest of environments in the most critical of times. This individual will work on the design, documentation and building of the mechanical and mechanical/electrical systems (bodies, bumpers, consoles, slides, tool boards, air systems, generator installations, etc....) of our trucks. This individual must possess an inquisitive attitude and be willing to put in the time required to research systems and components to ensure that the product is being properly implemented. This individual would be responsible for working with our engineering team to put together the documentation for the design of the bodies and subsequently working with the technicians on the floor to communicate the design and ensure that it is built to the documentation. Good problem-solving skills are a necessity for this position as this individual will be involved in not only the design, but also the trouble shooting of any issues that arise on the floor throughout the build. We need someone with a deep sense of pride and ownership in their work who is looking for a position where you can make a difference.Qualification/Skills:Post High School Engineering/Technical SchoolingExperience working in automotive mechanical and electro/mechanical systems.Detail orientedA team player with a positive attitudeSoftware Expertise preferred (not required):CREO, AutoCAD, Microsoft (Word, Excel, Power Point), Adobe
