EPIC Federal Credit Union is seeking a Collections Manager to lead our collections team with a member-first mindset focused on finding the best solutions for our members and enhancing their financial well-being. If you're excited about leading with purpose and making a real impact through thoughtful, solutions-oriented collections work, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.and#10;The Collections Manager performs a variety of tasks to include management of account extensions, modifications, foreclosures, repossessions, bankruptcies, loss mitigation, delinquency reporting, vendor coordination, and project management while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.and#10;Key responsibilities include but not limited to:and#10;- Hire, motivate, evaluate, audit, and develop department team members to their full potential to ensure professional and quality service is provided to members while concurrently understanding their challenging circumstances.and#10;- Communicate daily with staff to resolve questions or to interpret policies and procedures. The position is also responsible for reviewing, updating, and informing staff of changes to policies and procedures, new services, and government regulations as they pertain to collections.and#10;- Ensure all collection activities, including but not limited to skip tracing, charge-offs, repossessions, foreclosures, and garnishments, are executed in line with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.and#10;- Review and investigate escalated items such as credit bureau disputes, loan modifications, and referrals to external collection agencies or attorneys, ensuring timely and compliant resolution.and#10;- Arranges the disposition of collateral in the best interest of the member to maximize the net recovery to the credit union.and#10;- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party partners, including collection agencies and legal vendors, conducting due diligence and overseeing performance in key areas like liquidation and litigation.and#10;- Monitors productivity of third-party collection agencies and service providers, ensuring compliance with FDCPA.and#10;- Prepares timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on collection activities and their impact on loan portfolio performance.and#10;- Ensures compliance with state, federal, U.S. Bankruptcy Code, and NCUA regulations and laws.and#10;Qualifications include:and#10;- Minimum 3+ years collection experience.and#10;- Minimum 2+ years management or supervisory experience.and#10;- Financial services experience preferred, with knowledge of collections-related regulations, foreclosure, bankruptcy and repossession processes.and#10;- Strong ability to connect with people, build trust, and lead crucial conversations with confidence and empathy.and#10;- Proven track record of increasing team engagement and delivering constructive feedback that drives individual and team success.and#10;- Ability to analyze data to assess performance, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.and#10;- Creative problem solver who is curious, continuously learning, and driven to improve processes and outcomes.and#10;- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, inclusive leadership style.
