The Enabling Capabilities Department delivers impactful engineering analyses to rapidly transform current and future warfighter operations in contested and denied environments. We accomplish this through close interaction with our United States Air Force (USAF), United States Space Force (USSF), and other sponsors as well as with senior leadership in the Intelligence, Acquisition, and Warfighting communities. Our engineering analysis is informed by intelligence assessments of both adversarial kill chains and analysis of threats to US kill chains. We conduct engineering assessments of advanced and evolving threats, perform end-to-end effects chain analysis, develop digital engineering architectures for Intelligence applications, identify potential threat mitigation options, and perform experimentation of threat mitigation capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Contribute Impactfully to our Sponsors:

Perform engineering analysis of sensitive intelligence to support modeling, simulation, and analytical assessments of rapidly evolving threats to critical U.S. Air and Space Systems

Develop tailored, engineering-level Intelligence assessments that provide insights into adversary systems enabling engineering research, experimentation, proto@type development, acquisition, test and evaluation, and operational execution of cyber and electronic warfare solutions

Develop innovative offerings and identify opportunities for capabilities by applying a mix of strategic and technical knowledge of communications networks, information warfare, and electronic warfare systems

Work collaboratively across MITRE to ensure that our sponsors benefit from the breadth of corporate expertise.

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a student enrolled full-time in an accredited degree-seeking program in Electrical Engineering or a related degree and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship

Knowledge of Radio Frequency principles

Knowledge of Modeling and simulation (M&S) tools

Knowledge of signal processing practices

Sustained excellence in academic performance

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) Communications Systems

Experience using Electrical Engineering test equipment, e.g., spectrum analyzer

Experience having applied Electrical Engineering principals to an internship or research/lab position

Demonstrated interest in serving the public

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$45,500 - $57,000 - $68,500 Annual
