As a Security Officer - Retail Site - Weekdays in Plant City, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.
As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to an access control post in a retail distribution environment, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves interacting with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly to support a secure atmosphere. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, working together to put people first and always act with integrity within a dynamic retail location.

What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and assisting visitors, employees, and vendors as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client procedures.
Work collaboratively with location staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment.
Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, helping to deter potential issues within the retail distribution environment.
What We're Looking For:
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
