The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to an Information Technology (IT) Systems Engineering team supporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS) contract. Your will be responsible for the oversight and implementation of all Enterprise IT (EIT) Solutions relevant to the contract order. As the Chief Engineer, you will work with the program Technical Director, Chief Architect, and Lead Engineering Program Manager, to lead the technical delivery of approved EIT Solutions and ensure a smooth transition of delivered Tier 3 services to the Program Operations teams.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Chief Architect, and Engineering Program Manager, to implement the approved Enterprise IT solutions within the DAF Environment
Provide Subject Matter Expertise to the team for the following skillsets: Windows and Linux operating systems, RMF Hardening Compliance, Utilization Metrics and Dashboarding, and Azure Automation
Perform engineering design evaluations of EIT Solutions
Develop, implement, and monitor information system policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance
Review reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine and address problems
Lead the day-to-day execution activities of the Engineering team in conjunction with the Engineering Project Manager
Assist with the development of the project 24-36 month Cyber Roadmap for the continuous improvement of EIT Solutions
Aid in the development of the Project Work Breakdown structure, in conjunction with the Engineering Project Manager, to ensure an 12-18 month work plan
Identify technical continuous improvement and project execution efficiencies
Develop and implement improvements to existing processes and practices
Conduct investigation to understand root cause of issues and problems
Develop enterprise production topology and flow diagrams with team technical staff
Develop, and brief, solution presentation material to program and DAF Engineering teams
Annual Performance Objectives
Passed all Department of the Airforce internal Gate Reviews without rejection
Ability to white-board the various enterprise solutions ad-hoc with the project team without the need to reference existing solution materials
Implement identified process improvement per quarter
Travel
Travel up to 35% of the year
Quarterly to Chantilly, VA and surrounding area
Quarterly to Boston, MA and surrounding area
Quarterly to Semi-Annual ad-hoc trips to DAF Installations for solution briefings
Work Location
Chantilly, VA
Every Thursday must be in the Chantilly office with 2 additional days (at a minimum)
Hybrid Office/Home is allowed with approval of supervisor
Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance
15+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor's Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).
In-depth experience with a wide variety of Enterprise Solutions; preferable experience with Azure, Tenable, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration manager.
Past experience of a similar size, and scope, for Enterprise Solutions: 650,000 Users, 200+ locations
Expert communication skills with previous experience providing briefings to senior level leaders within the DoD (GS15, CTO/CIO level Communications).
Experience supporting the Department of Defense
One of the following Certifications
CISSP, or
Equivalent DoD 8140 Certification Compliance as a Azure Solution Architect.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$120,800 - $265,800
